Before you set it up
Check the power source first: a solar fountain runs only while its panel is in sun, and a mains pump needs an outdoor socket with a residual-current device. Keep the pump covered with water, clean it now and then, and drain the feature before the first frost.
Rock ledges, running water, a warm light
- Tiered rock cascade: water runs from ledge to ledge down the stack into the basin, and the pump sends it back up.
- Built-in LED lights: small lights in the cascade light the falling water in the evening.
- Stone-effect resin: cast and painted to look like weathered rock, but lighter than stone.
- Indoors or out: for a terrace, balcony, conservatory or living room.
It plugs into the mains through an adapter, so it needs a suitable outdoor socket or an indoor one nearby. Keep the basin filled so the pump never runs dry, and bring it indoors or empty it before frost.

Assembly
Stand the fountain level, fill the basin with water to cover the pump and plug the adapter in.
Care and cleaning
Top the water up as it evaporates, more often in warm weather. Every few weeks, unplug it, empty the basin, brush leaves and algae off the ledges and rinse the pump. Empty it and store it indoors over winter so frozen water cannot crack it.
