Before you set it up
Check the power source first: a solar fountain runs only while its panel is in sun, and a mains pump needs an outdoor socket with a residual-current device. Keep the pump covered with water, clean it now and then, and drain the feature before the first frost.
A trickle of water and a warm light
- Cascading buckets: water runs from the trunk through two buckets into the basin, and the pump sends it round again.
- Built-in LED: a light in the scene glows warm behind the falling water.
- Hand-painted resin: bark, roof tiles, pebbles and a stone lantern in greys and browns.
- Compact: 29 cm wide, 20.5 cm deep and 29 cm tall.
It is made for indoors and runs on mains power through a plug-in adapter; the adapter shown in the photos has a UK three-pin plug. Keep the basin topped up with water so the pump never runs dry.

Assembly
Place the pump in the basin with its cable led out at the back, set the fountain scene on top, fit the small plant, fill the basin with water and plug the adapter in.
Care and cleaning
Top the water up every few days, as it evaporates. Every few weeks, unplug the fountain, empty it, wipe the basin and rinse the pump so it keeps running quietly.
