Getting the most from solar
Place the panel where it gets direct sun for most of the day. Run time depends on the day's charge, so it is shorter in winter and after cloudy days. Wipe the panel clean now and then; dust and leaves cut the charge.
Three Spitfires, lit from above
- Design: one large Spitfire with roundels on its wings and fuselage, and two smaller Spitfires flying alongside
- Solar light: a clear faceted dome at the top of the frame that shines down over the design
- Frame: a plain black border with a screw hole in each corner
- Backing: the plaque alone, so your wall shows through the cut-out, or with a white panel behind it that makes the planes stand out
The plaque is 25 cm wide and 20 cm high, a size that suits a fence panel, a shed or the wall beside a seat. How long the light shines depends on the sun it gets each day.

Frequently asked questions
Should I choose the white backing panel? The listing recommends it for this design: the white panel behind the cut-out shows the small details of the planes clearly. Without it, your wall or fence shows through.
How is it fixed? Through the four holes in the corners of the frame, with screws suited to your wall, fence or shed.
Does the light need a plug or batteries changing? No plug is needed. It is a solar light that charges from daylight, so place the dome where it gets direct sun.
