Measuring for a canopy or awning

Measure the width of the door or window and add at least 20 cm (8″) on each side, and check that the wall above will take the fixings. Retract or take down fabric shades in strong wind.

Assembly

Join the panels and brackets as the instructions show, then mark the bracket holes on the wall and drill. Two people make fitting easier. Choose wall plugs and screws that suit your wall.

How wide should the canopy be? Choose a width that reaches past the door or window frame on both sides, ideally by 20 cm or more.

Can it hold snow? It carries up to 8 kg (supplier-stated). Clear heavy snow so the load stays below that.
