Safe use
Use a barbecue outdoors only, on firm, level ground, well away from the house, fences, sheds and anything that burns. Never use it in a tent, a garage or any enclosed space, and let the ash cool fully before you empty it.
A grill and a smoker side by side
- Main grill: a large barrel with a hinged lid and cooking grates
- Side box: a smaller offset chamber with its own lid and grate
- Smoke: a chimney with a cap on the main barrel
- Temperature: a thermometer in the main lid
- Air: a rotating vent on the side box

Assembly is required. Stand the grill on a level, non-flammable surface away from fences and overhanging branches.
Care and cleaning
Let it cool fully before emptying the ash. Brush the grates after each use and keep it dry and covered between barbecues.

What is the side box for? It holds a small fire away from the food, so smoke and heat flow into the main barrel for slow cooking. It also works as a second grill.
Does it have a thermometer? Yes, one in the lid of the main barrel.
