Safe use

Use a barbecue outdoors only, on firm, level ground, well away from the house, fences, sheds and anything that burns. Never use it in a tent, a garage or any enclosed space, and let the ash cool fully before you empty it.

Vents, lid and a rack for the cooked food

  • Lid: a flip lid with a handle and a thermometer reading 100-700°F
  • Racks: a main grate plus an upper warming rack
  • Airflow: four adjustable vents, two at each end
  • Charcoal: a removable charcoal grate with two handles over an ash tray
  • Wheels: two wheels and a side handle to move it

The supplied grate is not recommended for direct food contact: cook on foil or on a separate stainless steel grate. Light the charcoal in a chimney starter first, then tip it in once the flames have died down.

Assembly

Assembly is required, with clear instructions and no special tools. Place it on a firm, level, non-flammable surface; a wooden deck is not recommended.

Care and cleaning

Remove the ashes the day after use and clean the grates after every barbecue. Only cover the grill once it is completely cold.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cook straight on the grate? The supplied grate is not recommended for direct food contact. Use foil or a separate stainless steel grate.

Can I use it on decking? It is not recommended. Use a firm, level, non-flammable surface such as paving.
